The meeting is chaired by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and is attended by Prime Minister Hamse, his deputy, the presidents of the states of Jubbaland, South West, Galmudug, Hirshabele, and the governor of Banadir region.

Today’s meeting indicated that the leaders will focus on the general situation of the country, especially the issues related to elections, security and politics.

Reliable reports also say that the leaders of the National Consultative Council will discuss issues related to the implementation of the election today, at a time when some of the leaders of the state governments have finished their term of office, and the opposition is demanding that an election be held.

However, the second day of the meeting was attended by the absence of Puntland president Said Abdullahi Deni, who has a strong disagreement with the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia.

Finally, the Somali people are looking forward to the outcome of the meeting of the National Consultative Council, which has been called several times for undisclosed reasons, which finally opened yesterday in Mogadishu.
