The President of Hirshabelle Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlawe and the Commander of the Somali National Army Major Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin accompanied by the Infantry Commander of the Diah Army Abdi Abdulle met on how to get rid of Al-Shabaab between Jowhar and Balcad districts.
The meeting was also attended by the Speaker of the Hirshabelle Parliament and other officials, and both sides agreed to begin operations to eliminate Al-Shabaab from the long road that connects Jowhar and Balcad in the Middle Shabelle region.
“We are working hard to rid the entire country of the Khawarij, especially in Hirshabeelle region,” said President Ali Guudlawe.
The meeting between the President of Hirshabeelle and the Somali National Army Command in Balcad district, which was discussed on how to open the road connecting Jowhar and Balcad districts, is coming, as Al-Shabaab has repeatedly attacked that road, including explosions and direct attacks.
It is worth noting that the leaders and officials of Hirshabeelle, which is 90 KM from Mogadishu, Jowhar, when traveling by plane, because the security of that road is very dangerous and officials from Hirshabeelle who were traveling on that road have already been killed and injured.
