The Security Committee of Sanaag region ordered to stop some people who started to flee from Eerigabo town, and they also strengthened the curfew in the town.
The security committee has ordered that no one can leave the city and flee, the committee said that the evacuation is being done by some families which is creating a situation of fear.
“They are fleeing. If the exodus ends in the city, you don’t know how it will end. We have been displaced, we have been killed, we have been through war. “The mayor of Erigab Ismail Haji Noor said as follows.
The committee further strengthened the curfew imposed on the movement of vehicles starting at 4:00 pm, adding that after 6:00 pm no people can be seen walking in the city to maintain peace.
After the clan-based killings that took place in the city of Eerigabo, the people felt fear, with some people starting to flee the city. On the other hand, the government of Somaliland has deployed police and military forces in and around the city.
Reports say that one of the security guards was injured last night after a civilian shot him from a house.
