The Somaliland government has accused the Somali government of having a hand in the crisis in Sanaag region.
The Director General of the Ministry of Information, Mustafa Abdi Isse ‘Shine’, who spoke to the media, blamed the Somali government for the crisis in Sanaag region.
“According to you, Somaliland has decided to hold the presidential and union elections, in order to prevent what the weak government of Somalia led by Hassan Sheikh has decided to throw a war out of the Sanaag region,” said Sheine.
The director said that the former vice president of Puntland, Ahmed Karaash, who was sent by the Somali government, is organizing a war in the Sanaag region, and he said that Ahmed Karaash’s forces killed 5 people in Goof district yesterday, and at the same time, they stole 150 camels. ah.
He said that people protested yesterday’s killing in Goof and killed another person this morning in Eerigabo town, which worsens the situation.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, candidate Abdirahman Irro and Saladin called for the situation to be calmed down and the conflict ended peacefully.
SSC Khatumo said last night that the government of Somaliland is fueling the conflict and that it killed the people who died in the violence in Goof district of Sanaag region, saying that we will not back down.
