An armed group that previously said they were fighting for the Horseed political organization in Somaliland, this morning launched a violent attack in the town of Balligubadle.
This group, which is against the decision to resolve the political dispute in the elections, attacked the police station in Balligubadle, according to SKY Cable, Abdiqadir Hassan Abdi, one of the residents of the area.
“When they got close to the base, they split up, they started shooting from there, and the police defended themselves. When the shooting continued, a car was rammed, they left the car, and no one was injured,” Omar said.
He said that when the shooting was going on, the people intervened between the rebels and the police, and then the rebels left the east side of the city, and it is not known where they are now.
He said that the rebels did not come to kill people, but it seemed that they wanted to make riots, saying that all the bullets they fired were upwards.
The Chairman of the Horseed Political Association Abdillahi Dirawal, for his part, distanced himself from the rebels, saying that it is impossible for him to support an armed uprising.
