The administration of SSC Khatumo sent a serious warning to Somaliland after Somaliland declared a war to regain Sool region.
The Minister of Information of SSC Khatumo, Najib Barkhad Warsame said that their forces have full power to respond to any invasion from the Somaliland side.
“We promise that if the pistol falls in our direction, we will repel Buro,” said the SSC Information Minister.
The minister stressed that the SSC forces are preventing threats from Somaliland, and that they are ready to defend their land.
This warning comes at a time when Somaliland president Muse Bihi Abdi visited some parts of Sool region including Caynaba district, almost a year after Somaliland troops were withdrawn from Sool.
Somaliland army commander Nuh Taani, who accompanied the presidential delegation, said that they are ready to return the Sool region, which raised the tension in the region.
