The Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia and the administration of the Banadir region have jointly issued decisions on the complaint of the drivers working in the Bajaj motorcycles related to the money to be taken for driving licenses.

The decisions of the Federal Government came after two consecutive days of Bajaj drivers protesting on some roads in Mogadishu, complaining that they could not afford the $300 surcharge for those who want to get a license. transportation.

The Minister of Transport and Aviation, Osman Igal, said that this decision is a response to the complaints of motorcycle drivers working in Mogadishu.

“Since the complaint of Somali youths who work as Bajaj motorcycle drivers in the capital of Mogadishu, we have quickly taken measures to respond to their complaints, while assessing the circumstances in which Somali youths work, we have given priority to Let’s do more about the complaints of our youth,” said Minister Ferdowso Osman Igal.

The Minister of Transport and Aviation has instructed the Bajaj motorcycle drivers to respect the laws and regulations of the country and to comply with the procedures of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation.
