The president of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, who spoke to the military forces in the Eastern Command of Oog, said that the government of Somalia has committed acts to destroy Somaliland.
President Bihi said that the government of Somalia tried to start a fire in Awdal region, where he said that they wanted to organize against Somaliland.
“Hasan Sheikh and the group that is after his interests are tiring of us, and we are resisting their war, and we will go through any problem,” said President Bihi.
The conflict between the government of Somalia and Somaliland has escalated after Somaliland and Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding on the maritime sector.
Since then, the parties have been throwing accusations at each other, and the talks between the two sides that have been going on for a while have collapsed and it is not known when they will be resumed.
