Members of Parliament have called on the Speaker of Parliament to include in the agenda of the Parliament the tax complaints imposed by the Ministry of Finance, which have caused a wave of protests by traders in Mogadishu.

In the official proposal to the Speaker of the Parliament, the MPs referred to Article 25, Paragraph 3, Letter “d” of the bylaws of the House of Representatives, which enables them to request that something be added to the agenda of the Parliament.

The proposal of the MPs underlines the need to inquire about the taxes complained about, and to find a solution to the complaints of the businessmen.

These MPs urged the Parliamentary Committee to give special importance to this issue, stressing that there is a need to quickly find a solution to the public’s complaint.
