The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, gave a speech on many issues such as the country’s elections, the war against Al-Shabaab and the complaints related to the poor economy that have been discussed in Mogadishu these days.
President Hassan Sheikh, who went on to talk about the country’s elections, said that the country is going to vote and there will be no withdrawal or waiver, and he reiterated that his government is committed to holding elections.
“The Somali country is going to vote for people and votes. There is no possibility of delay or giving up. The Somali people are voting as much as possible. We want several million Somalis to vote and elect local councilors or members of parliament. it is possible that several million will vote,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
He also spoke to the President of Somalia in his speech about the war against Al-Shabaab and said that his government is giving special importance to it, and he noted that he will never stop the fight to eradicate the group from the country.
“I tell the Somali people that the war against the Khawarij is still our first priority, it has not stopped and it is going on, and it will not stop until this country is freed from terrorists. They make ambushes every time and the Khawarij are their culture, but they are very careful about security,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. .
Among the things that President Hassan Sheikh talked about in his speech was the complaints of the youth living in Mogadishu in the past few days, which was related to Shiid or poor economy.
“Those who are complaining about the lack of money today are those who used to collect money for charity, those who insulted people on social media and those who stole things,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
Finally, President Hassan Sheikh said that the city of Mogadishu is making strong progress, which shows that the country’s economy is recovering, and he gave examples of the construction of houses, apartments, villas and roads in Mogadishu and other cities. one is Kismayo, Dhusamareb, Baydhaba and Jowhar.
