The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Member of Parliament Fowsiya Yusuf Haji Aden, who has left the race for the election of the African Union Commission chairman, which is scheduled to be held next year, has expressed his support for the former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga.
In a special meeting in Nairobi between the two leaders of Fowsiya, Yusuf Haji Aden and Raila Odinga, they discussed many issues related to the state of the region and the election of the chairman of the African Union.
MP Fowsiya Yusuf expressed support for Raila Odinga at the meeting in connection with the race for the election of the chairman of the African Union in which Odinga is one of the most obvious candidates for that seat.
“I am happy that we discussed important issues on our continent with Fawzia Yusuf H. Adam, the former minister of foreign affairs of Somalia. I am very grateful for the support she gave me in the race for the AUC chairman,” said the candidate Raila Odinga.
The election of the president of the African Union has been announced that four candidates have registered, and the support shown by Fawsiya Yusuf for Raila Odinga is coming, while the government of Somalia stands by the candidate Mohamud Ali Yusuf who is the minister of foreign affairs of Djibouti.
