We want Somali citizens to have the opportunity to vote and be elected, I think indirect elections are not what they are interested in,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
He pointed out to the president that his government is determined that the country will not go back to public elections, and it is time for Somali people to have the opportunity to vote and vote.
He also spoke to the president about the constitution and praised the Somali Parliament for taking steps to complete it after 12 years, noting that they will continue discussions on the constitution to complete the remaining provisions.
“It is also of great importance to continue the remaining chapters of the constitution, so that the country can get rid of the constitutional uncertainty that has been there for a long time,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
Among the other things that the president talked about were the successes of the government forces and those of Mawisley in the war against Al-Shabaab and he praised the national and local forces.
