The Republic of Djibouti has again avoided hosting a rebellion against the existence of Somaliland.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Information of Djibouti said that Djibouti is known for its coexistence and protection of neighboring countries.
“The politics of the Republic of Djibouti is based on the unity and harmony of our neighboring states and nations. Djibouti is working for peace and stability in the Horn of Africa region,” the statement said.
Djibouti expressed regret at President Bihi’s accusation that it hosted a rebellion against the existence of Somaliland, and said that this statement was creating an unnecessary situation.
The text added that the people of Djibouti and the people of Somaliland are two peoples who are good neighbors and brothers and that Djibouti should not commit any act that is fatal to the peace of Somaliland.
“Djibouti will continue its policy of strengthening peace and cooperation among our brother nations,” the statement said.
Despite Djibouti’s distance from the existence of the rebellion, the leaders of Awdal State are in Djibouti, sending a threatening message to Somaliland in Djibouti’s capital.
