The President of Galmudug Ahmed Abdikariye Qor Qor has accused groups with political interests of being behind the instigation of the fighting in Mudug region these days between tribal militias from Puntland and Galmudug.
The president of Galmudug said that the people who are looking for politics in the conflict between the brotherly clans are worse than what he said, the problem of Al-Shabaab in the society, and he said that there is a need to free themselves.
“There are two problems among the people. First, the enemy of terrorism is igniting our nation, two, those who claim the name of politicians and do not fear God are destroying the nation,” said President Qor Qor.
President Qor Qor, on the other hand, welcomed the cease-fire efforts by the scholars and the committees of the two administrations who went to the areas where the fighting took place, to separate the fighting militias.
Qor Qor said that Puntland and Galmudug will work together to end the conflict, to stop the senseless bloodshed.
