The forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, with the help of international friends, carried out airstrikes last night in areas located on the border between Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle regions.
The airstrikes targeted areas where members of the Al-Shabaab group were with military and cargo vehicles.
This bombing operation took place between the areas of Hawal Khorey and Rage Barir, and 28 Al-Shabaab members were killed.
Abdinur Yusuf Qadaye, the Commander of the 86th Brigade of the 77th National Armed Forces, who spoke to the national media, said that the bombardment that took place last night burned a vehicle belonging to Abdi Bille and two trucks of the type known to Somalis as BG.
Commander Abdinur also said that members of the Al-Shabaab group in the last night’s attack were planning attacks on the positions of the army and the local people, but the government forces and those of the international friends prevented the attack.
In the regions of Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle, the operations against the Al-Shabaab group are still going strong with the cooperation of the army, the local people and the international friends who are supporting these operations from the air.
