The President of the Puntland state, Saeed Deni, has declared that he is ready to open direct negotiations with the Federal Government of Somalia on the fate of the country’s government.
President Deni said that political differences can be overcome through dialogue based on consensus, while respecting the implementation of the country’s constitution.
Deni, while continuing his speech, warned on the other side, he called the perverted policies based on manipulating the government of the country and allowing a certain group to hijack the constitution and the country.
“Puntland is warning that the government of the country is being manipulated,” said President Deni.
The President of Puntland has declared that, since the government agencies are returning to the legal framework, Puntland is acting within the powers given by its constitution and the constitution of the Federal Government.
Deni’s statement came as the federal government of Somalia recently announced that it has re-authorized development projects that have been blocked in Puntland.
