Security forces in Baidoa, the capital of Bay region, have arrested a man who allegedly attacked a mosque in a neighborhood of Baidoa.
The man was said to have been arrested in a joint operation by various forces in the city.
An officer of the army who spoke to the media said that the man was arrested and arrested at the Baidoa police station, and his capture was facilitated by civilians.
“The man who did the deed, as soon as he was arrested, the Correctional Service operated and he was arrested. I am asking the public to cooperate with the security agencies, to prevent anything that threatens the security of the area,” said the officer who spoke to the media.
Security in the city of Baidoa, the capital of Bay region, has been improving in recent times, after the army increased operations to ensure the security of the city.
