The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, praised the members of the two Houses of the Parliament of Somalia for the approval of the amendments to Chapter 1 and 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Government of Somalia, which were passed today by the two houses of the Parliament.
Prime Minister Hamse also said that today is a historic day that his government has fulfilled one of the promises made by the Federal Government of Somalia.
“The DanQaran government has confirmed in a short period of time great achievements that add a lot to the process of the government of Somalia, among them, debt forgiveness, lifting the arms embargo, the war to eliminate the Khawarij, joining the East African market, strengthening international relations and action today approved the amendment of the 1st and 4th chapter of the JFS Constitution” said in a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister Hamse.
He also mentioned that the Prime Minister of Somalia is happy that the government of the country is returned to the Somali people to elect the leadership they want.
Finally, the two Houses of the Parliament of the Federal Government of Somalia have passed today with a majority the completion of the Constitution which has gone through different stages, while they were opposed to making any changes to the Constitution by the members of the opposition and the Puntland administration.
