The Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) today sent 4,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Kismayo, the capital of Lower Jubba region.
This aid is intended to be given to poor families living in Kismayo and other areas where there are humanitarian conditions.
Officials from SODMA and the Jubbaland administration have launched a boat from the main port of Mogadishu loaded with aid for the poor living in some parts of Jubbaland.
This aid is mostly wheat and dates, which the federal government of Somalia recently donated to the governments of Russia and Saudi Arabia to deliver to the poor Somali people.
It is not the first time that the Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has sent humanitarian aid to Jubbaland administrative areas.
