The Federal Government of Somalia has welcomed the United Nations Security Council Resolution, which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, it was said that this step is a step forward for the peace and stability of the region.
“Somalia strongly advocates for an end to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, for the peaceful return of the displaced people to their homes, and for the realization of a viable two-state solution. Lasting peace in the region can be achieved through genuine dialogue and mutual respect,” said the news from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia.
The ministry added that Somalia has urged that the relevant parties are committed to support in order to ensure the success of this resolution.
