The commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin, has gone to the city of Harardhere in the Mudug region to accelerate operations against the Al-Shabaab group.

The commander held a meeting with officers of the joint forces in Harardhere and the surrounding areas.

General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin ordered the officers of the government forces to retake the areas where the government forces had recently withdrawn.

The commander of the third group of forces, Ali Ahmed Ali Cagey, who held a press conference for the media after the meeting, said that they are happy that the commander of the country’s armed forces will visit the front lines of the war.

Dhame Ali Cagey also called on the young people who are fighting Al-Shabaab to give them the opportunity to surrender to the government forces and the local people.

The government forces and the local people are now planning how to regain control of the areas that they have recently left in the South of Mudug region.
