A meeting between Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi and Wadani Party President Mohamed Abdillahi Irro has agreed to go to the elections without any interference.
The reason for this meeting was the former President of Somaliland Dahir Riyale Kaahin, the parties agreed on the most important points for the defense of Somaliland and to enter the elections in a peaceful manner.
“It was agreed that there should be a common ground against the enemies of Somaliland, and that we should work together for the defense of the nation, that the campaign for the elections should be carried out in an unbiased manner, that the results of the elections should be obeyed and accepted by the national parties,” said a press release from the presidential office. gone.
The meeting also decided that the parties should hold meetings in the next three days to further discuss and analyze these points of implementation.

This meeting is coming after the president recently penned an amendment to the rules of Somaliland elections which he had been in disagreement with for some time.
Although the Kulmiye, Waddani and UCID parties, which had previously been in conflict, are now in agreement on the new system of elections, there are some organizations that are against the new agreement of the three major parties, who consider the changes to the rules to be illegal.
