More news is coming out of an operation by the Somali forces, especially the 8th battalion of the 60th division, which they carried out yesterday afternoon in areas of the Bay region.
The operation was said to have been carried out by the forces in the area called Haween in the Bay region, where members of Al-Shabaab were stationed.
Officials from the country’s armed forces confirmed to the national media that in the operation they killed 7 members of the Al-Shabaab group who were gathering in the Haween area of the Bay region.
The officials also said that the Al-Shabaab group burned five motorcycles of the Fekon type that were driven by members of the Al-Shabaab group who were killed in the operation.
However, in areas and districts of the Bay and Bakool regions, the government forces sometimes carry out such operations targeting the Al-Shabaab group.
