The Somali government has not yet ended the attack on the SYL hotel last night, where al-Shabaab gunmen entered the hotel last night when they attacked the hotel with explosives.
The government forces are still fighting inside the hotel with several Al-Shabaab men, having succeeded in killing most of the men who attacked the hotel.
Haramad army commander Abdihamid Fanax, Somali government spokesman, Farhan Mohamed Jimale and MP Osman Yusuf Hoosh are among the officials confirmed to have been injured in the attack.
There are government officials and civilians who are still missing from the attack, who were inside the hotel last night.
It is not yet confirmed the number of deaths and injuries caused by this attack, as many people escaped from the hotel by jumping over the walls.
Al-Shabaab claimed that they took control of the hotel, saying that they killed many officials of the Somali government.
They said that they were meeting the government officials at the hotel.
