Somaliland has slapped the staff of the Air and Airport Authority, which it says has taken control of its airspace.
An award ceremony was held in Hargeysa for girls and boys working in the Air Force, who are said to have worked hard to make Somaliland secure its air.
“A man from Somaliland will not rest, there were young men and women who were more active than the organization during the process, they sent 100 letters to ICAO,” said the manager of the Somaliland Air and Airport Authority, Omar Sayid Abdillahi. .
He said that Somaliland has defeated Somalia in the air and has taken control of its airspace, saying that Somaliland cannot be conquered.
He noted that the final decision will be two, to return the air to ICAO and to implement the agreement that the parties have already entered into on the sharing of air management.
He also said that the government of Somalia has messed up and hit Qatar Airways and Ethiopian Airways.
There is still an air dispute between Somaliland and Somalia, and according to the BBC, some airlines have turned away from Somalia’s airspace.
