The forces of the federal government of Somalia with the help of international friends have carried out a planned operation in the areas of Ali Yabal, Qalan Qal and Sumadale, all under the Eeldheer district of the Galgaduud region.
The operation was said to have been carried out by the cooperating forces in the wild areas in the areas where members of the Al-Shabaab group were gathering.
Officials from the government forces have confirmed that 23 of the Al-Shabaab militants who were gathering there were killed in those operations, and the officials also said that the group’s injuries exceed 20 million.
In the areas where the operations were carried out, the officials said that they are now occupied by the Federal Government forces and the local people.
The government forces and the local people, known as Maawisleyda, have been fighting with the Al-Shabaab group for a long time in the areas where they are located in Galgaduud and Mudug regions of Galmudug administration.
