A decree issued by the Office of the Commander of the Somali Police Force, General Sulub Ahmed Firin, has removed the spokesperson of the Somali Police Force, Major Sadiq Aden Ali Doodishe.

Commander Sulub has appointed the new Somali Police Spokesman Major General Qasim Ahmed Roble who previously held this position.

In a meeting held jointly by former Speaker Sadiq Doodishe and new Speaker Qasim Ahmed Roble, they announced that they have taken over the office.

“I have now officially handed over the job of the spokesperson of the Somali Police Force to my commander Major General Qasim Ahmed Roble. I have been working in the spokesman’s office for a while and handed it over this afternoon to Major General Qasim Ahmed Roble,” said Sadiq Doodishe.

The new spokesperson of the Somali Police thanked Sadiq Doodishe for the work he did during his tenure in office, promising that he will serve the nation and the Somali people well.

“The former speaker handed me a beautiful job in the middle of nowhere. I pray that God will make it easy for you to do the other work that the police chief assigned you. Let’s help each other and work honestly for the people and our country,” said the new speaker, Qasim Ahmed Roble, although he did not reveal what the other job was given to the speaker he took over.

The appointment of the new Police Spokesman, Qasim Ahmed Roble, is the second time he has been appointed as the Somali Police Spokesman, having held this position from 2017 to 2019.
