The Somali police have given more details about the case related to the body of a former member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia named Ahmed Adan who hails from the Northern regions of Somaliland.
The body of former MP Ahmed Adan was found in a hotel room in Hamarweyne district of Mogadishu, and his death was confirmed at Martini Hospital.
Somali Police Spokesperson Sadiq Aden Ali Doodishe said that a suspect is being held in connection with the death of the MP.
“We received information that a former member of parliament fainted in a hotel where he was staying in Hamarweyne. The security forces went to him while he was unconscious. He was taken to Martini hospital, where he died. The suspect is being held and investigations are underway to arrest him. Find out what caused the death of the deceased,” said Spokesman Dodishe.
The police spokesman also said that in a similar case, a man whose body was found in a house where an officer of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority named Abdinasir Muse Dahable was arrested, many people were suspected in his death.
“In the case of Abdinasir Dahable, 9 suspects have been arrested, including those who live in the house, those around him and some of his friends. The investigation is going well. We have great hope that the investigation in this case will be successful and it is possible. that other suspects should be arrested in the case,” said Police Spokesman Sadiq Doodishe.
