The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has called an urgent meeting of the two Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia tomorrow.
The Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, said at today’s meeting in front of the two Houses that President Hassan Sheikh Makhoud will appear before the two houses tomorrow and discuss the general situation in the country.
“Gentlemen, I would like to inform you that tomorrow, Wednesday, you must attend an urgent meeting called by the president, who according to the constitution can call the two houses together at any time. The president will discuss the latest situation in the meeting. So please come at a good time and you are aware of the situation in the country,” said the Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Sheikh Adan Madobe.
In this urgent meeting called by the president of the two chambers of the Federal Parliament, the reports say that the president will discuss the abuses committed by Ethiopia with his delegation during their stay in Addis Ababa to participate in the African Union meeting and also the things learned from his last trips.
This meeting comes at the same time as the tension arising from the Addis Ababa agreement between the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed and the President of Somaliland Muse Bihi on the first of January this year 2024, which was related to Ethiopia getting part of the land and water of Somalia. , the agreement was greatly opposed by the Federal Government of Somalia and most of the countries of the world.
