The National Security and Intelligence Agency of Somalia has given more details about a planned operation in cooperation with the NISA army and international friends that took place last night in Galhareeri district of Galgaduud region.
The operation, which was a bombing operation, was specially observed in different places where there were members of leaders, militiamen, journalists and technicians of the group that received the explosions.
A statement from NISA said that 30 members of Al-Shabaab, including foreign members, were killed in the attack and 20 others were injured.
“Among the places targeted in this operation were the Andulus radio station, a bomb making center, the financial center in Galhareeri district, a house where the leaders of the Khawarij lived, especially the filmmakers called Al-Kata’ib, a house where the leader lived. They call it the Sakawad of the Middle Sh. region and houses where the Khawarij factions used to meet,” said the news from NISA.
Galhareeri district is said to be Al-Shabaab’s biggest base in the Central Region.
