Members of the Somali Parliament have submitted a motion against the security cooperation agreements signed between Somalia, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.

The parliamentary committee held this motion, according to a statement signed by the secretary of the parliament, and the motion was said to be against the security agreements that the government of Somalia entered into with those two countries.

According to informed sources, the MPs who submitted the motion whose number is not known, want to cancel any security agreement that the Somali government entered into with Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates, saying that these agreements are a threat to Somalia’s sovereignty.

This motion coincided with the fact that a few days ago the two houses of parliament canceled the agreement signed between Ethiopia and Somaliland, which was said to be a threat to the sovereignty and independence of Somalia.
