Reports from Mudug region say that in a heavy battle that took place today in the South of Mudug, the commander of the 18th battalion, Colonel Abdi Mohamed Sulnuug, who led the armed forces, was killed.
The battle that killed Abandulah came after the government forces and the local people cooperating attacked a place where the Al-Shabaab group was said to be gathering in the city of Aad.
It was reported that the fight was intense and lasted for several hours, in which both sides used different types of weapons and caused various losses to both sides and the total amount has not yet been confirmed.
The reports add that Commander Suulnug was initially injured, but later died of his injuries.
