The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has once again spoken strongly about the agreement between Somaliland and the Ethiopian government, which is related to Ethiopia getting part of Somalia’s water.
President Hassan Sheikh also said that the land of Somalia was previously denied to foreign people to be born and have a say, this is unacceptable at this time in the 21st century to give away land in Somalia.
“Brothers of Ethiopia, we cannot recognize you. Don’t let the land pass us by and don’t be a reason and don’t enter the bad history. This land is the land that our ancestors refused to let a foreign woman give birth to and say something about. The president called on Ethiopia to live in peace with its neighboring countries and protect its territorial independence, just as Ethiopia wants no interference in its land.
“There is no one who can leave the land of Somalia, even talking about it is a crime, we will not leave that land, and there is no one who can take it. Ethiopia cannot recognize Somaliland, even if they recognize it, it will not do anything. and does not go beyond the ground,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
He also mentioned to President Hassan Sheikh that the things that can be discussed or united are not part of the land, and it is not compatible with the desire of the Ethiopian government to get land from Somalia.
“The Muslims of the world agree and live together but they are not part of the land or the people. We and Ethiopia are known and there is no official border that has been agreed between us. The government of Ethiopia says that the people should not be mistaken and tell them that we found them in the sea. Somalia should not say it will not happen, it did not happen yesterday and it will not happen today,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
