The President of the SSC-Khatumo administration, Abdiqadir Ahmed Firdhiye, has set conditions for the release of Somaliland army prisoners captured in the war in Sool region.
The president of SSC- Khatumo said, the release of the Somaliland prisoners can come when a full peace agreement is reached, and the Somaliland administration stops, as he said, the provocation that he wants to invade the areas of SSC.
“As long as Moses says, I am fighting, we are killing each other, I am
taking prisoners from you, you should also take me, releasing them will not do anything,” said President Firdhiye.
President Firdhiye said that they have about 292 prisoners in their hands, who he said are locked in two prisons in the city of Lasanood, where they are under constant care according to the president.
He said that one of the prisoners died of his injuries, while two others who were seriously injured were handed over to their families through the ICRC.
