The Federal Government of Somalia has released more details about the attack on the 17th of December in the Jilib district of the Central Jubba region.

The attack that took place in Jilib was a joint airstrike between the Somali government and the United States, which targeted a leader of the Al-Shabaab group that the United States government wanted.

The Commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin Adoow, confirmed that the Jilib airstrike killed the leader of Al-Shabaab in charge of organizing the war, named Khalif Daoud, who was known within Al-Shabaab as Macalin Ayman.

Major Ayman was identified as being responsible for the organization of various attacks in Kenya that targeted the American base in Manda-Bay and Kenyan military bases.

The leader who was killed in the bombing has already been banned by the United Nations Security Council, and the United States has also placed a reward of 5 million dollars on his head, which was finally killed in a drone attack on the 17th of this month.
