Hormuud Salaam Foundation has donated 1000,000 dollars to the Somali people who suffered from the floods in some regions of the country.
It is the most extensive aid provided by a national organization. While the Hormuud Salaam Foundation has already contributed to the recent drought in the country.
At a press conference held by the chairman of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, Abdullahi Nur Osman, he said that Salaam Bank and Hormuud share the suffering of the Somali people who suffered from the floods.
The governor said that they will quickly deliver the money to the people affected by the floods, saying that they will closely monitor the situation of those people.
The financial support of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation has come at a time when more than one million Somalis have been affected by the floods and floods caused by the autumn rains.
According to UNOCHA, 30% of the affected people have only received aid, while 70% still need immediate assistance. And the problem is mostly in the regions of Juba and Gedo.
