The Somali forces, especially the 60th division, carried out a planned operation that killed a leader of the Al-Shabaab group in the Bay region.
The operation that killed the leader, who was named Hussein Addow Jilibgaab, who was the Al-Shabaab’s target for the people living in the Bay, Bakool and Gedo regions, took place between the Mooda Mode and Dayununay areas in the Bay region.
The Commander of the 47th Division of the 8th Brigade of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army, Ahmed Mohamed Nur Dhegey, confirmed to the national media that Horjooghaan was killed in the operation, and he pointed out that he was a person who greatly harassed the people of Bay, Bakool and Gedo.
Commander Ahmed Nur Dhagey also said that the planned operations of this kind will continue while Al-Shabaab is being removed from the areas where they are located in Bay and Bakool regions.
