The Minister of Internal Affairs of Puntland, Abdi Saeed Farah Juha, who is the chairman of a committee appointed by President Deni to negotiate with the opposition politicians, said that nothing is possible in the talks between the two sides.
Minister Juxa accused the opposition groups of being reluctant to sit down with the seven-member committee headed by him. He said they don’t seem ready to negotiate.
“We went to them, we talked to them, we contacted them, they gathered there to refrain from negotiating with us,” said the Juxa ambassador who expressed hope that the opposition would agree to talk.
He said that there is still an opportunity to talk, and he called on the opposition groups to come to the table and be ready to discuss the issues they disagree with.
Minister Juxa’s statement came as the opposition said that they are either giving a chance or waiting for the decisions of the SSC-Khatumo committee which is working to find a solution that they believe can overcome the dispute over the election issues.
