The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya bid farewell to Ambassador Mohamud Ahmed Nur (Tarsan), who completed his term as the Ambassador of the Federal Government of Somalia to Kenya.
Dr. Abraham Korir Sing’Oei, the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, as well as other officials and members of Kenyan diplomats, attended the farewell ceremony for Tarsan.
Ambassador Tarsan has been Somalia’s ambassador to Kenya since 2018. The Kenyan government praised him for playing an important role in the development of relations between the two countries.
Dr. Sing’Oei thanked Ambassador Tarsan for his contribution to the development of relations between Kenya and Somalia. He also expressed his admiration for Ambassador Noor for his personal commitment to peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.”
Ambassador Tasan expressed hope that the relationship between the two countries, Somalia and Kenya, will continue to expand and progress in the future. He also said that he will always be Kenya’s friend.
The government of Somalia is going to soon appoint a new ambassador to Kenya, to replace the current ambassador Tarsan.
