The ATMIS mission issued a press release on the violence that caused death, which happened on Sunday at the place known as Medina Gate, which is the front line of the Halane camp.
The ATMIS soldiers shot and killed a young man who they said wanted to forcefully enter the Halane center, saying that before he was shot he stabbed an ATMIS soldier who was standing in front of him and was guarding the Halane gate.
ATMIS said that its investigation of this incident is in cooperation with the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia.
They said they are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the workers as well as all individuals who regularly visit the Halane camp.
