The Canadian government is planning to deport young Somalis from its country, which it says have entered the country illegally.
It is said that there are more than 150 Somali youths who have entered the country under different identities.
Somalis living in Canada have asked the federal government of Somalia to intervene in Canada’s plan to deport Somali youth.
“These young people have a great concern about deportation, a great two-faced effort is underway, but our efforts alone are not enough in this matter, we need the federal government of Somalia to intervene and prove that these boys are Somalis,” said one of them. one of the advocates for these young people spoke to VOA Radio.
The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Isaaq Mohamud Mursal, Isaaq Fanax, who spoke on behalf of this incident, said that the federal government of Somalia cannot do anything about Canada’s move to deport these young people, noting that the youth entered the country with other identities.
“The government of Somalia does not have its hands open to respond or negotiate with the government of Canada because this citizen was not Somali when he entered the country. What is stopping us is to advocate for someone who entered another country with a different passport. We are only open to praying for him,” he said. said the deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia Isaaq Mohamud Mursal.
People who are advocating for the deportation of these young people from Canada are disappointed by the decision of the federal government of Somalia which has declared that it cannot do anything about Canada’s decision to deport more than 150 young Somalis.
