One of the most famous leaders of Al-Shabaab in Mudug region surrendered today to the Somali army in Wisil area of ​​Mudug region.

The leader’s name is Nur Abullahi Maalingur, known as AK Nur Deeq, who was the top commander of Al-Shabaab forces in Mudug region.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, has confirmed that the leader has officially surrendered to the forces of the Federal Government of Somalia.

“Nur Abullahi Maalingur AK Nur Deeq was the commander of the Khawarij militias in Mudug region, and he was the leader of the heaviest war against the Khawarij in this region. In addition to that, he sometimes threatened businessmen, traditional elders and different sections of society in Mudug region. He used to call people Harardheere,” said Minister Ahmed, a teacher of theology.

Minister Fiqi also mentioned that this leader was the person who led the conflict between the government forces and Al-Shabaab in the areas of Galmudug administration.
