The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, opened the meeting of the National Consultative Council of the federal and regional governments in the city of Dhusamareb.
In this meeting, which is again absent from Puntland, the security situation of the country, the completion of the liberation operations, the stabilization of the areas removed from Al-Shabaab and the delivery of basic services to the community will be discussed.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud told the presidents of the states to prepare for the second phase of the liberation of the country.
This meeting came as the state government of Galmudug is about to be freed from al-Shabaab, as the forces liberated the largest city of al-Shabaab in Galgaduud region, Eelbur.
It is the first meeting of the president in Dhusomareb city with the leaders of the regional governments and Banadir region. They met earlier in Baidoa.
The heads of the regional governments have praised President Hassan Sheikh for fighting a real war against al-Shabaab. And they say that they will stand by the government.
