SSC Khatumo said that this morning they achieved significant success in a battle with the Somaliland army, and they took control of the Maraagga area in the east of Lasanood.
SSC Khatumo released another report on the battle that took place this morning in the eastern checkpoint of Lasaanood town, said that its forces took over the Somaliland army station in Maragga.
“We have achieved considerable success by capturing the Maragga area from the Somaliland militias, the people of SSC Khatumo and their defense forces buried them on their knees and inflicted serious damage, capturing cars and prisoners,” the report said.
The forces of SSC Khatumo presented military vehicles, which include trucks, cars and other vehicles that they said they had seized from the Somaliland forces, and they also presented prisoners.
The Somaliland forces accused the city of firing artillery this morning and launched an attack, but were defeated.
Somaliland has not yet spoken about this morning’s war in which SSC Khatumo claimed victory.
