The spokesperson of the Somali Police Force, Sadiq Aden Ali Doodishe, said that one of the employees of Hamar Local Government was killed in a suicide attack that took place today in Mogadishu.
The spokesperson of the police said that the suicide attack took place at the headquarters of the Ifo cleaning company in Banadir region in Wardhiigley.
The police spokesman said that two police officers were injured in the attack, which he said was carried out in a Land Cruiser.
Sadiq Doodishe said that the vehicle used in the suicide attack was equipped with bulletproof vests, which enabled him to pass information through checkpoints where the army was present.
“Vests destroy cars. And they try that the bullets of the brave soldiers do not reach the person who is perishing. Khawaristu’s aim is to make people hear an explosion and put it in the press, to show that they are still working,” said Spokesman Dodishe.
He said that al-Shabaab are in their last attempt to carry out explosions in Mogadishu, saying that a vehicle that has not been inspected cannot pass the checkpoints.
