Journalist Mohamed Ibrahim Bulbul, one of the journalists in Mogadishu, has been arrested for the second day by the federal government, and his arrest has been condemned by Somali press rights organizations.
Men armed with pistols, who were said to be government intelligence, attacked journalist Bulbul, yesterday afternoon, while the journalist was in the university where he was studying, and then took him away, according to what we have quoted from the media. called Kaab Somali Tv.
They said that after several hours of interrogation, the police took the reporter to the CID headquarters. No charges have been brought against the reporter so far.
The Somali Journalists Syndicate – SJS said the reporter was denied a visit. They said that until now even his family and lawyers could not see him.
SJS called on the government’s security agencies to carry the journalist unconditionally and stop threatening him.
However, the journalist’s arrest followed a few days after he released a report about police officers who he said were defrauded of money they were supposed to receive from a seminar organized by the European Union.
