The Ministry of Defense of the Somali government issued the second warning to the people in the areas controlled by Al-Shabaab.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General, Abdullahi Ali Aanood, has informed the residents of the districts of Gal-Hareeri and Elbur to leave as soon as possible.
The defense spokesman said that the Somali government and its allies are launching direct attacks and non-stop attacks targeting al-Shabaab positions.
“I want to tell you to stay away from the land between, Hindere to Garab la’. These are the areas where the problem can reach you. “We are asking you to avoid El Qooxle, Wabxo, El Harardere, Dabagalo, and Jacar,” said the spokesman of the Ministry of Defence.
Brigadier General Aanood said the Somali government wants the people and animals living in those areas to be safe and not affected by the large-scale operation taking place in those areas.
He said that some areas that were surveyed were found to be occupied by people and animals. He said the government will not take responsibility if people do not heed its warning to leave the target area.
