More news is emerging from last night’s artillery attack by Al-Shabaab on the camp of the African Union Peacekeeping Force (ATMIS) in Qoryoley district in the Lower Shabelle region.
The attack that took place at midnight last night was widely heard in all the neighborhoods of Qoryooley district, and the local residents said that most of the mortars hit the ATMIS military camp and its surroundings and they could not confirm the official damage caused. .
The local residents also told the media that the ATMIS army responded to the attack and fired heavy weapons in the direction they were coming from the artillery that was hitting their camp.
