Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe met with the US Deputy Ambassador to Somalia Tim Trenkle in Mogadishu.
The meeting was one in which the two officials discussed the general situation in the country, especially security, politics and the decisions of the National Consultative Council meeting to restore the power to the Somali people, and the country will hold elections by people and votes. .
The President of Jubbaland Ahmed Madobe and the US Deputy Ambassador to Somalia Tim Trenkle also discussed in their meeting the acceleration of the fight against the Al-Shabaab group which is going on in most of the regions of the country.
The deputy ambassador of the American Embassy has promised that the Jubbaland administration will support the US government in its operations against Al-Shabaab.
The United States government is one of the governments that provides regular support to the Somali military in airstrikes against Al-Shabaab fighters.
