The US Embassy in Somalia has submitted a letter of accusation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Abshir Omar Jama Haruse, which she complained about the embassy security of the Prime Minister of Somalia and the president of the South West administration.
The American Embassy has accused the security guards of the two officials of misbehaving with the American Embassy security team during the farewell ceremony of the outgoing Ambassador which was held on May 17, 2023 in Mogadishu.
The statement issued by the American Embassy said that the security forces of the Prime Minister and the President of South West came out with weapons and handcuffed three members of the staff of the American Embassy in Somalia.
“Our forces were at the gate of the venue where the event was taking place, the guards of the Prime Minister and the president of the South West humiliated members of our security team in charge of the security of the two officials of the Prime Minister and the President of the South West regional government. members of the Embassy staff” said the news from the US Embassy.
The letter of accusation that the American Embassy sent to the security guards of Prime Minister Hamse and President Laftagareen has not yet given any response regarding the accusations made to the security guards of those two officials.
